workrave not loading anymore

Dear all,

I've been an enthusiastic user of Workrave for quite a while now. Let me 
first thank the developers for the great work.

Recently, however, I've run into persistent problems, as Workrave fails 
to start. My set-up is Ubuntu Maverick. I have recently played with a 
number of different desktop environments including LXDE and the still 
experimental Unity 2D and I'm not sure if the problems started then. In 
any case, Workrave doesn't start automatically on login. When I try to 
start it from the terminal I get error message: sometimes it's simply: 
"segmentation fault" sometimes it is more elaborate:
"Gtk-Message: (for origin information, set GTK_DEBUG): failed to 
retrieve property `gtk-enable-event-sounds' of type `gboolean' from rc 
file value "((GString*) 0x8cd4090)" of type `gboolean'
Gtk-Message: (for origin information, set GTK_DEBUG): failed to retrieve

Speicherzugriffsfehler"

Workrave will load and when I try starting it with "sudo workrave" it 
will also load but display two icons in the tray.

Any help will be much appreciated.
