Any tools or other to help with Phonebook testing

Any advice on how to go about testing the Phonebook functionality? I am
working on the VX3200 and would like to wring it out before releasing it.
Even a simple written testplan of sorts would be better than starting with
a blank sheet. Better would be any tools/scripts that lend some automation
to the effort.
