I tested BitPim 1.0.6 on both Linux and Windows (XP) with the Katana (6600). On both systems BitPim was able to detect the phone at the correct port and download the phonebook. On Windows I installed the Sprint Connection manager to get the phone drivers. I am pretty sure that I have tried DataPilot drivers with this phone before.
