Hi everybody.
Every six months or so I surface on this list to post some helpful
hints for making the OS X build for bitpim. This time I wanted to
post to say that it *looks* like we finally have a universal build for
bitpim going (v 1.0.7.20080908.ub1).
Previously we had trouble because it is incredibly hard to build a
universal libusb. (Most posts I have seen require people manually
building it on a PPC and i386 and then manually lipoing it together.)
If you are like me and still stuck in PPC land, you can punt and
download a functional build from that TWAIN SANE page (http://www.ellert.se/twain-sane/
).
Joe, it might be helpful to put a note on the developer page linking
to this build in the libusb section. Every other package on the
developer page works "out of the box."
Next up, we are getting isolated reports that the LEOPARD build is
crashing hard, but it appears that the TIGER build works on 10.4+.
I'll try to look into this this week, but if anyone has any ideas, I'm
all ears.

Best,

Sean
