Jason,

You need to download the Motorola drivers, try this link.

http://developer.motorola.com/docstools/USB_Drivers/Handset_USB_Driver/

Connect your phone, the drivers will start loading... there are several.

Once they are installed right click on "My Computer"

Select "Manage"

Computer Manager window will open, select "Device Manager"

Select "Modems"

Motorola should be listed.

Right click on it and select "properties".

There will be a tab labeled "Diagnostics" in the properties window.

Click on the "Query Modem" button near the bottom right of the window.
If the log window populates with data you are connected.

Try Bitpim again, you should be good to go.

Don L.

Subject: [BitPim-devel] Motorola K1m

I connected my Verizon Wireless to my dell dimension 4600 computer
through the front usb and backside usb ports and BitPim didn't detect
the phone from either port, i also tried multiple cables to no avail. I
tried the Phone Wizard and everything. It also only found the COM1 port,
I dont know if there's supposed to be more ports showing up
