runtime error version 1.0.7

I, too, just installed the lastest update to BitPim, version 1.0.7. on
Windows 

OS XP Home Edition. Clicked on the "Finish" button to complete the 

installation and received the following error message:

 

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\BitPim\bitpimw.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to termination it in an 

unusual way.

Please contact the application's support team for more information."

 

I'm unable to launch BitPim now. I just keep getting the same runtime 

error message. It was fine before the update.

I have uninstalled 1.0.7, reinstalled version 1.0.5 and that works.  But
that version does not support my phone model, which is Samsung Alias 2,
SCH-U750.

 

Any further suggestions?
