Hi,

I just installed "bitpim-1.0.7-0.i386.rpm"
on:
[roger@rwells-cts ~]$ uname -a
Linux rwells-cts 2.6.18-164.11.1.el5.centos.plus #1 SMP Wed Jan 20
18:49:35 EST 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Previous (I don't know which) version(s) has/have worked fine with this
same actual phone and its contents.
Now I can't get the contacts data. The phone was detected without help
and I transferred phone data to bitpim.
Here are what I think are the relevant lines from the bitpim log file:

8:35:24.680 LG-VX8600: Now in brew mode
8:35:24.697 LG-VX8600: Reading number of phonebook entries
8:35:24.719 LG-VX8600: Now in phonebook mode
8:35:24.758 LG-VX8600: The phone is lying about how many entries are in
the phonebook so we are doing it the hard way
8:35:24.893 LG-VX8600: Read entry 0 -
8:35:24.965 LG-VX8600: Now in brew mode

at the end there are no entries in the phonebook. Other information,
wallpaper, ringtones, etc. appear to have transferred correctly. I did
try the "bitpim-1.0.7.20101010-0" release with generally the same
results but usually the first phone book entry made it over, but only
one. This time there are none.

any suggestions or experiments that I can try to help investigate where
the problem is will be appreciated.

Just in case any one really wants to get into this I have attached the
complete log (zipped)

Thanks,
roger
