Wonder if that's related - i've been using BitPim for a while now and when i let it automatically download and install the latest version 1.0.7 on my XP Home machine, it crashes every time i tried to run it, so i redownloaded and tried again, same result. I've gone back 1.0.6 for now and that works fine just like it always did. Something significant changed in the latest version ... -steve At 06:25 PM 3/12/2010, [email protected] wrote: >when I tried to download bitpim 1.07 then1.06 on my netbook and >then my other laptop both using windows xp I get the message when >its trying to setup Erros occurred see the logfile 'C/Progrma >files/BitPim?bitpimw.exe.log" for details >raceback (most recent call last): > File "bp.py", line 20, in <module> > File "bp_cli.pyo", line 21, in <module> > File "bp_config.pyo", line 19, in <module> > File "guihelper.pyo", line 23, in <module> > File "wx\__init__.pyo", line 45, in <module> > File "wx\_core.pyo", line 4, in <module> > File "wx\_core_.pyo", line 12, in <module> > File "wx\_core_.pyo", line 10, in __load >ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found. >Traceback (most recent call last): > File "bp.py", line 20, in <module> > File "bp_cli.pyo", line 21, in <module> > File "bp_config.pyo", line 19, in <module> > File "guihelper.pyo", line 23, in <module> > File "wx\__init__.pyo", line 45, in <module> > File "wx\_core.pyo", line 4, in <module> > File "wx\_core_.pyo", line 12, in <module> > File "wx\_core_.pyo", line 10, in __load >ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found. >Traceback (most recent call last): > File "bp.py", line 20, in <module> > File "bp_cli.pyo", line 21, in <module> > File "bp_config.pyo", line 19, in <module> > File "guihelper.pyo", line 23, in <module> > File "wx\__init__.pyo", line 45, in <module> > File "wx\_core.pyo", line 4, in <module> > File "wx\_core_.pyo", line 12, in <module> > File "wx\_core_.pyo", line 10, in __load >ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found. >Traceback (most recent call last): > File "bp.py", line 20, in <module> > File "bp_cli.pyo", line 21, in <module> > File "bp_config.pyo", line 19, in <module> > File "guihelper.pyo", line 23, in <module> > File "wx\__init__.pyo", line 45, in <module> > File "wx\_core.pyo", line 4, in <module> > File "wx\_core_.pyo", line 12, in <module> > File "wx\_core_.pyo", line 10, in __load >ImportError: DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found. >Thenits says something about msvcr71.dll missing or beingcorupted. >I downloaded this on a another computer and it works beautifully >but now I'm trying to put it on another computer downloading it and >setting it up and its will not download, any suggestions on whats >going on or whats wrong. >------------------------------------------------------------------------------ >Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval >Try the new software tools for yourself.
