BitPIM 1.0.7 unable to upload SMS data

I have an LG Dare LX-9700
I am able to connect and download various items - SMS, phonebook, etc
When I try to upload the SMS data the phone is rebooted and then nothing happens.

I still have the SMSs in BitPIM - but can't get them back onto the phone.
I have been able to upload other items - just not SMSs

Item has repeated everytime (did this last night and tonight)
I've rebooted the PC, rebooted the phone, 
Ensured I have the latest BitPIM
Direct USB connection from PC to phone using manufacturer USB/Dare cable.
