Problems sending sounds/ringtones

I have a Samsung Alias 2, and everytime I try to send a ringtone or sound to my phone, my phone will turn off. I am using a straight USB cable. I don't know what to do I went through all the trouble shooting guides and nothing helps. Please help me. Thank you.
