BitPim and LG VX6100

BitPim works fine with my LG VX8300 (yes, I like OLD phones) but I 
need to get some stuff off my OOOOLD VX6100.

The two phones use the same cable and apparently the same driver.

Plug the phone in and WinXP recognizes that it is there and assigns 
it a com port.

VZAccess manager queries the phone and reports it correctly.

However, I get the following message from BitPim

COM4: could not open port\\?\COM4 (5,'CreateFile','Access is denied.')

Any ideas?  If this is out of bounds for support, I guess I'm back to 
square one.
