I am running BitPim 1.0.7 - Official on Win XP/SP3. My phone is an LG Chocolate VX-8500 (Black), firmware version T85VZV04. The USB cable is an LG CLGIF13-4.5.

All function appear to operate correctly except the Phonebook. On any phonebook operation, the phone screen displays "373-392" repeatedly, then BitPim says "Error: Phonebook busy on phone
The phonebook is busy on your phone.
Exit back to the main screen and then repeat the operation." Last several lines of Log below:

15:42:34.049 LG-VX8500: Fundamentals retrieved
15:42:34.049 LG-VX8500: Reading speed dials
15:42:34.144 LG-VX8500: Getting file contents 'pim/pbspeed.dat'
15:42:34.362 LG-VX8500: Now in brew mode
15:42:34.362 LG-VX8500: Reading number of phonebook entries
15:42:34.424 LG-VX8500: Now in phonebook mode
15:42:34.565 LG-VX8500: There are 12 entries
15:42:34.862 Error: Phonebook busy on phone
The phonebook is busy on your phone.
Exit back to the main screen and then repeat the operation.

The point is that I'm ALREADY AT the main screen, and it does not appear to matter what screen I'm at, nor whether the phone slide is up or down. Two contacts transfer (no particular order) and then the phone book operation quits.

I've checked various SourceForge and BitPim archives without success. Any help/insight welcome.
