I have read as much of the 'How To and Do this first' BitPim information as
I can before my head explodes... I've used BitPim for several years with an
LG6100; LG Chocolate; and with the LG Cosmos a few years back with great
success - till now. The Chocolate is 'fading its front touch pads' and I
need this backup phone... so here's what happened.

I have Cosmos setting at LG 8560 which works on Version 1.0.6. but not on
Version 1.0.7.
1.0.6. Recognized Phone, downloaded all texts inbox - then part of outbox
and stalled. Error message.
Error message is gone due to accidental 'shut off of BitPim' at which point
all 183 inbox text messages disappeared, also all 45 outbox messages
disappeared.

I located the file Cache with 228 files in it with the same date and time
but not as inbox.dat. They are listed as F00000-F00228 File showing 5KB to
7KB for each message, with an index.idx file at the end of the cache.

What I want to know is how to retrieve these as text messages into the
BitPim program along with the newer ones that BitPim has saved since
4/7/2015?

I have searched everywhere for a solution, and I'm no computer genius, (61
next month and my Tech Guru son doesn't live here to help out) so I don't
know how to even start.

Luckily I found the 'file with the cache'... I am running Windows 7 (so the
tag on the laptop says) and BitPim has always run just great. Even on
Cosmos, till now, and it won't download phonebook, calendar, memos, photos,
sounds, ringtones either. Though it used to.

Ask away, or email me that you can't be bothered...

Linda B.
