Kannel broken with Nokia 7110

I've done some analyze about why the current Kannel doesnt work with 
my Nokia 7110 whereas it did work perfectly before.

So far what I can see, if I replace the Nokia 7110 with a Nokia 6250 
without changing the config in any way, it seems to work. My guess is 
that the reception of SMS during activity on the serial port makes 
the SMS be rejected. The SMSC did report back a "protocol errror 121" 
which means the end device did not acknlowledge the received SMS 
because it was busy with other things.

In the log I can see that there's a AT^M and OK every 4 seconds 
filling the log files very quickly for absolutely no reason.

Oded you wrote "isn't that the broken keep-alive issue ?". I dont 
know what broken keep-alive issue you are referring to as I havnt 
seen any keep-alive issue on the list talking about AT2 nor have I 
seen any reference to it. But suddendly I see AT2 driver behaving 
strangely by sending a single AT every 4 seconds and I dont see that 
with my Siemens TC35 by the way.
