RAM requirement

Hi ALL,

i am using devlopment release 1.16 on Redhat 6.2 with 256 MB RAM.The system 
is using nearly all RAM. The gateway is running stable from a week but few 
hours before smsbox crashed ,no entry in log files related to crash. I want 
to know how much RAM should kannel required for stable working.
