Problem with SMPP smsc-password being too long

Dear all,

I am having problems with Kannel 1.2.0 on RedHat 7.0.
Whenever I set try to connect to my SMSC on SMPP 3.4
with these settings (sorry for all the x's, not allowed to reveal) :

`octstr_len(p->password) < 9' failed.

If I reduce the password length to 8 or less, then bearerbox will work (but
the authentication with my SMSC
will fail of course). This looks like a major bug, or it could just be me
being stupid.

Can someone advice?
