A little note to add: You can request a maximum client MRU size of any arbitrary length (0 means no limit) while sending a Connect request. But note that because of the nature of capability negotiation, the gateway can decide to choose a lower client sdu size if they wish. In that case, there is little that you can do - except for choosing another gateway. Experiencewise, I went successfully up to 64 KB that a gateway would send (not tried anything higher). But also I found some gateways that would send no more than a 1.5 KB. Especially the private gateways of network operators. I am not sure what Kannel does (haven't looked so far into the code). -- Rene... -------- This email message has been automatically scanned for viri using Sophos antivirus. -------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rene Kluwen" <[email protected]> To: "Nigar Sultana" <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, September 20, 2002 3:08 PM Subject: Re:client sdu size. > Yes. > > Maximum SDU Size is part of capability negociation. > (Btw, therefore, it can only be set in connection oriented mode). > > -- Rene... > > ----- Original Message ----- > Date: Fri September 20, 2002 01:03 PM > From: Nigar Sultana <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Subject: client sdu size. > > Hello All > > how do we set the the client sdu size, by default it is 1400. we > want it to be more than 1400. should we set the client sdu size > during connect req, with in the capabilities, coz i am not sure. > please help us. > > regards > Nigar > > >
