BTW, we have 46 connections (various protocols, including SMPP, EMI/UCP, SMASI) on one bearerbox running ;) If you are in concern of handling more SMS per second in the scope of bearerbox, you may scale using Linux virtual server environments. IMO, bearerbox is a SMSC router and it's fine the way it is.
