Its purpose is to parse input from the modem and it is called from everywhere. The reason being that the modem can send us informations at any time, completely out of sync on what we expect at the moment because SMS come in at any time, also when we just sent an SMS or when we are just starting up. So if we need new functionality in AT2 module, we simply can enhance at2_wait_modem. So far there was no need to add other parsing because we only use limited functionality to send/receive SMS thats why its functions are rudimentary.
