Splitting makes problem

Hi,
When I send picture messages and logos, kannel is splitting it into 2 or 3 parts.
But this splitting causes sending to fail. When I manually split and send
them by making a delay(say 100ms) between sending each part, there is
no problem of failure. Is there any way to avoid this. This manual splitting
and delaying causes some other problems to me.
Is there any way to insert some delay between individual parts of messages
in kannel itself? Or any way to avoid failure without delay itself?
Can any one help ?
