so obviously the SMSC is not passing all the UDH information to your
Kannel instance, right?!

hmmm, so you are trashing the SMSC while you have them process the
inbound EMS? ;)

because if bearerbox's SMPP connection goes down. Kannel will pass it
to the store-file and re-try on the next restart. That's why you don't
see anything in access.log.

access.log entries are writen when the SMSC has confirmed the
receiption of the SM-MT itself. Up to this point, the message may be
still in your store-file.
