wapbox, timer-freq and timeout-A

Hi,

 I was having problems sending WAP POST messages
larger than 8kb or so. I realised after some poking
around that Wapbox kept reporting a Timeout-A event.
More digging turned up fact that this is controlled to
an extent by the wapbox conf "timer-freq". Once I set
this high enough (10) my problems go away. 
 What implications are there to making this large? Is
it an issue at all? Thanks
