  For those of us who don't mind the 15-27 bytes, whee!  For those who do,
  they don't get it unless they actively turn it on.

  I do wonder what most people are using kannel for.  Any numbers?  I use it
  to connect to multiple SMSCs and deliver and receive SMS traffic.  Most
  likely in the future I'll use it to send and receive SMS messages via
  modems that have tracking numbers in their payload and track delivery
  times.

  Don't use it for WAP.
