I think it's something quite used, so why not adding direct support for 
this, via a sendsms parameter?

won't this facility be added to Kannel?

same as the patch for adding sender for Wap Push.. I have patched my 
Kannel with that, but won't it be added to main Kannel?
I think it's a must to be able to set the sender in Wap Push, why don't 
add it to main Kannel?
