Are you actually using check_kannel with nagios? Any feedback?

I quickly developed check_kannel a few years ago and then barely touched
it since it did almost everything I needed at the time.

Maybe it is time to freshen it up a bit and finally implement some
performance data monitoring, but a native SNMP implementation may make
it less useful.
