Re: +CME ERROR: Lower layer falure (SMS) While SEnding SMS using Kannel

If I read your trace correctly, then kannel tries to read of 19 SMS in the sim's storage of the device and gets stuck.
You might want to delete all SMS on the SIM first or play around with the options dealing with storage of incoming sms.
