Mozilla/GTK+2 sans X11?

Is this actually possible at the moment, or is the GTK2 code totally dependand on X11 for some essential things? Basically, I'm trying to build Mozilla with GTK2.0+ and GDK2.0-DirectFB (as opposed to GDK2.0-X11) The gtk-demo app runs, but trying to compile Mozilla, I get stuck with an XFontStruct in nsFreetype.h (Coming from gfx/src/x11shared) Even if I can only get the gtkembed component to build, I could try and put Galeon2 around that. But I haven't played with that stuff yet so I'm not sure if that will make things easier or not. Thankyou. (I don't read this newsgroup, so I would appreciate any replies being CC'd to me as well.
