Unable to use javascript for printing

Here is my detail problem statement.

I am a college student. Doing a project in Java by using Mozilla 1.1b
browser, InatallAnywhere 4.5 Standard Edition (to build installer).

My project has TWO options as
1. User can add/edit/save notes for his reference.
2. View all notes: Show list of user added notes in new mozilla
window. There is print option in frames. From here, its not printing.
Just shows message, ‘Preparing printing……' and nothing happens. I have
to force quit my project/application.

In another case, If my project/application keep running and opens any
simple html file to print, a physical print or pdf is generates. After
that, if I go back to my project/application and tried to take print
(refer #2), a physical print or pdf generates.
In this case when I am running the simple print option from the local
hard disc on the mozilla browser on mac 9.2

Why I can't take print directly from my application? Why I have to
invoke printer by using sample html in my application browser first?

Hope above statement could give you replica of my problem scenario.
