MAC: Importing mail from networked PC

Installed Moz on the Mac and wanted to import data from Netscape 4.x on 
the PC. Worked well for the address book (once exported on the PC, 
muffed the list entry, no biggie).

HOWEVER, importing the mail is only for *local* mail on the Mac! You're 
supposed to pick the profile to import from. But there is none and never 
has been.

How do I get the PC Netscape mail into the Mozilla data space on the Mac?
