I'll try to look for those fonts. But IMHO, something as simple as 
radicals should not depend not specific fonts. Isn't it a matter of 
drawing a few lines? (the same for integrals or sums would probably be a 
bad idea, though)

If then some theoretical physicists need a superspecific symbol, OK, 
have them install a superspecific font. But simple everyday school math 
should work our of the box, IMO.

Good work anyway, most other browsers just display nothing when they see 
MathML code.
