I have tried both ways and still nothing.

I'm not at all sure what @unixroot is for... The fontconfig archive 
extracts everything into @unixroot, so do I need to add 
%unixroot%\@unixroot\usr\bin to my path?

Any chance of you indicating in this cmd file where I'm going wrong? I 
tried to following available instructions but am getting nowhere...
Or maybe there is something entirely different missing from the mix...
