I ended up disabling every one of my Add-ons excepting no-script, which
brought my CPU usage down to the expected 3-5% on one CPU. It still
spikes when scrolling and/or loading some pages. SM is also finally very
stable. Before it was regularly crashing when the JS engine was
allocating memory.
I just wish I could do something about the CPU usage of Thunderbird,
just bring it to the foreground will spike the CPU and take seconds to
draw the UI.
Hopefully the move to 52ESR will fix some of these issues, I understand
the SM release is solid.
