The same thing happened (and continues to happen) to me. In my case, it started after a Windows system lockup (a "feature" of Quicken ;-). I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Mozilla. I've removed (or temporarily relocated) prefs.*, history.dat, panacea.dat, all files in the Cache directory... everything I could remove without losing something important. Mozilla still hangs whenever I try Edit -> Preferences. Anybody have any ideas? Oh yeah: Mozilla 1.2.1, Windows version.
