increasing size of go menu history list; general prefs doc?

1) Is it possible to increase the length of the history list shown
under the Go menu?  The default seems to be 15, but I'd like more.

2) Is there comprehensive documentation on all the possible prefs
settings somewhere? I've been unable to find it, although I've come
across many "tips" documents showing assorted useful settings.

My mozilla --version reports
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20021003,
build 2002100313, if it matters.
