Do you use a proxy ?

Try going into Edit / Preferences / Advanced / HTTP Networking
and select "Use HTTP/1.0" instead of HTTP/1.1.

You may even want to unckeck "Unable Keep-Alive" if it's not enough to 
solve the issue. Does this help ?
