While I agree that Microsoft is Evil(TM), I don't think you can blame 
MS for this one.

A friend and I downloaded Mozilla 1.7.5 on two computers with Win XP 
SP2 a day or two after Xmas and it went lickety-split, installed 
easily, and ran fine.

I suspect there was something off about the settings of your computer 
when you tried the download. Just for comparison, did you try a 15 MB 
download from some other site?
