I've found an answer to my question in the form of an extention. Show SMTP Username 0.2.1 https://addons.update.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=thunderbird&numpg=10&id=151 Works fine with 1.0.2. Definatly something which should have been implemented ages ago. Its not per account SMTP but will do for now :) SimonT wrote: > I am currently using multiple accounts under my email host, each of > these all use the same server name but separate usernames for smtp. > > The problem is when setting an outgoing server, the name shows up as the > address of the server, in this case mine are all the same and I can > only guess that I am getting the right one.
