Having ActiveX on the computer, connected to a browser is allways a
jeopardy. Getting away from it, is my prime reason to use Mozilla. I
would never install the ActiveX plugin for it.

BTW, 1.7.1 is old version. Why not upgrade to 1.7.8, where a lot of
security flaws has been fixed after 1.7.1
