Got it. Was simply a matter of trashing the directory in the "Program Files". Apparently Firefox got slightly confused of all the left-overs in there of previous installations. -m- -- Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic.
