[Enigmail] Cannot remove Enigmail from Thunderbird 77.0b3 (64 bit)

I am running Thunderbird 77.0b3 (64 bit) under Windows 10 with two 
profiles in different places.  For one of the profiles I cannot remove 
Enigmail.  The other is fine.  Enigmail is Version 2.1, July 20, 2019.

In the Extension Manager,  Enigmail shows up as Disabled and is 
correctly flagged as incompatible with Thunderbird 77.0.  When I click 
on the "..." link I get the small pop-up window with the options Remove 
and Manage.  I then click on Remove.  It flashes and the window closes.  
I then restart Thunderbird.  The extension should be gone.  It is not.

How can I force remove it?
