I was investigating a user's problem with mailing lists recently - 
essentially it was an autocomplete failure which I'd seen too but never 
got to the bottom of. I was amused by this comment in a bug from 2012:

"Whoever introduced mailing lists in TB apparently did not think more 
than five minutes about this concept."

Having written mailing list processing addons using the new address book 
APIs, I thought I knew all about them. But people have reported features 
that no longer work that I didn't know existed!
