You should make a search inside bugzilla even if it might not very easy to find. I know some problem in the way mozilla handles the short-cuts have been resolved a few month back for the linux version. It's not very easy to write a good patch for mozilla (code that doesn't respect the rules will not be accepted), and that case looks a bit delicate. It would be better to open a bug, and point to good info about the proper way to behave for mozilla.
