Software Engineer in NYC for eMusic Mozilla App

We are looking for a developer with great hands-on ability as well as
good software design skills. We want someone with a few years of
experience quickly building cross platform client applications. You
must excel in a fast pace environment yet retain your discipline for
high quality code.

QUALIFICATIONS:
· 2+ years JavaScript, AJAX and DOM development experience
· 1+ years Mozilla Extension development experience
· 1+ years experience with cross platform application frameworks (XUL,
wxWidgets)
· 1+ years experience with cross platform scripting and build systems
(Shell, Perl, Python, make)
· 1+ years C++ experience
· Strong understanding of XML and XML related technologies
· Strong understanding of HTTP and other networking protocols
· Strong understanding of object oriented design with design patterns
· Experience with developing application installers (Nullsoft or
similar)
· Ability to create user interfaces based on designs and product
wireframes
· Excellent writing and verbal skills
· Excellent time management skills and experience working on multiple
projects concurrently

PLUSES:
· Experience with a source control system (SVN, BitKeeper, ClearCase,
Perforce, CVS)
· Graphic editor experience (PhotoShop, Paint.net)
· Ruby server experience
· Cross-Platform software installer and development experience
· Experience building or creating Mozilla XULRunner applications
· Windows COM development
· Experience developing applications based on RSS feeds
· Outstanding understanding of regression and performance testing
methods

EDUCATION:
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, EE, Math or equivalent
