Program Management Position Responsibilities:

-	Track, and support Product Management activities for the OPS team
-	Maintain an accurate report and view of activities by PM team,
follow up deliverables, interactions with other organizations within
Novell as well as outside parties
-	Represent Product Management leadership and team as needed and
present the strategy and position of OPS PM, manage progress and
actions with counterparts, and report accurately and in detail the
results and action items
-	Understand in breadth the activities of the OPS PM organization so
as to be able to understand the prioritization of efforts and be able
to describe both activities and prioritization to others inside the BU
as well as outside
-	Support Product Management leadership in tracking progress, goals,
and activities for the overall PM team, and communicating internally
with individual product managers and their leads to ensure that all
barriers to completing the Product Management deliverables have been
addressed.
-	Coordinate with other members of the Business Unit, in particular
the BU Operations Director to ensure documentation, deliverables,
information, and updates from Product Management are available in a
timely manner for internal tracking as well as IPD and ELT
deliverables
-	Support Product Management leadership in analysis of internal
processes as well as business data to provide quantitative information
to use to improve Product Management productivity as well as
understanding the metrics that describe internal process as well as
business effectiveness
-	Support Product Management leadership in occasional business
analysis with research, data gathering, quantitative analysis, and
detailed competitive information to evaluate potential activities with
partners and customers
-	Understand and support all IPD-related activities from Product
Management as needed
-	Develop and maintain strong relationships with the other teams in
the Business Unit, especially Product Marketing and Engineering in
order to ensure an integrated effort

Required Skills:

-	Engineering undergraduate degree preferred. 3+ years of relevant
work experience, with additional formal business training (MBA highly
desirable.
-	Experience in completing market research, ability to spend time in
market understanding problems
-	Ability to learn new technologies, markets, customer needs quickly
and broadly
-	Must be comfortable in working with peers and executives within and
outside Novell
-	Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
-	Excellent numerical analysis capabilities
-	Excellent attention to detail, excellent follow up and tracking
required
-	Ability to present well to small audiences
-	Self-motivated, ability to work independently and as a team member.
