The Domain Architect has a responsibility for ensuring the
completeness (fitness-for-purpose) of the architecture, in terms of
adequately addressing all the pertinent concerns of its stakeholders;
and the integrity of the architecture, in terms of connecting all the
various views of each other, satisfactorily reconciling the
conflicting concerns of different stakeholders, and showing the trade-
offs made in so doing.

The choice of which particular architecture views to develop is one of
the key decision that the Domain Architect has to make. The choice has
to be constrained by considerations of practicality, aligned with the
architecture principles, business process and objectives (Enterprise
Continuum), and guidelines provided by the Enterprise Architect.

The Domain Architect as 'agent of change' is involved in the entire
process, beginning with working with the different business areas to
understand real needs (as opposed to wants), and then throughout the
process to translate those needs into capabilities verified to meet
the needs. Additionally, the architect may present different models to
the customer that communicate how those needs may be met, and is
therefore an essential participant in the consultative solution
definition process.

The Domain Architect is expected to be a key player in the
technological approach of a solution, having a leadership role with
the different business areas and consider the 'must-follow'
individual for the rest of the peers.

Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for the control and directions of the architecture in
their domain area, following guidelines and directions of the
Enterprise Architect and Architect Governance Board
2. In partnership with the PMO area, understand and interpret project
requirements, having a deeply knowledge of business processes of their
domain area
3. Create a useful blueprint, using the guidelines implemented in the
Enterprise Continuum
4. Validate, refine, and expand the blueprint, by adding new ideas and
updating the architecture with the decisions and directions given by
the area
5. Manage the architecture, by continuously monitor the models and
update them as necessary to show changes, additions, and alterations.
6. Participate in a continuous Design Quality review of the current
projects

Required Education/Skills:
- Minimum Bachelor degree.
- Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal.
- Experience in writing technical / business documents and design
diagrams.
- Desired knowledge of architecture & business frameworks (TOGAF,
COBIT, eTOM, ITIL, etc.)
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the business process/technological
arena

Technology Architect Skills:
Strong skills in the following areas:
a. Business Skills & Methods: Business Case, Business Scenario,
Business Process, Business Metrics.
b. Enterprise Architecture: System Interactions, IT Industry
Standards, Service Design, Architecture Principles Design,
Architecture views & viewpoints design, building block design,
solutions modeling, benefits analysis, Business inter-working, Systems
Behavior.
c. IT General Knowledge: IT Application Development Methodologies &
Tools, Programming Language, Storage Management, Networks, IT
Infrastructure, Asset Management, Service Level Agreement, Systems,
COTS, Enterprise Continuums, Migration Planning, Infrastructure,
general IT applications
d. Technical IT Skills: Security, System & Network Management,
Transaction Processing, Location & Directory, User Interface,
International Operations, Data Interchange, Data Management, Graphics
and Image, Operating System Services, Network Services, Communication
Infrastructure
e. Legal Environment: Data Protection Laws, Fraud,Commercial Law
