Pricing Strategist

The role of Pricing Strategist heads up a highly motivated and fast-
paced team chartered with designing and developing pricing strategy
across Novell's full line of product and service offerings. The
successful candidate will own the pricing governance structure and
pricing decision-making process, and ensure pricing execution in
partnership with the back-office execution team. Reporting to the Vice
President of Global Finance, pricing is a key element of Novell's go-
to-market strategy, responsible for designing and delivering all
elements of buying programs worldwide across all routes and channels.
Responsibilities include involvement with large deal pricing, overall
concession management and detailed revenue extraction strategies. The
successful candidate will be supported by a pricing and decision
analytics team that is worldwide in orientation. The pricing
strategist will have significant and broad interaction with field
sales, the product business units, marketing, and finance.

Required skills/education:
-  Five years' of related experience.
-  Bachelor's degree  preferred subjects include Economics, Finance,
Statistics, Law or Marketing
-  Strong pricing experience in managing a dynamic products and
services portfolio
-  Deep expertise in financial and econometric modeling (customer &
market segmentation, statistics, economic & financial models)
-  Extensive program development experience

Location: Novell's primary U.S. or European locations preferred (i.e.,
Waltham, MA; Provo, UT; Bracknell, UK) but any U.S. or European
location will be considered for the right candidate.
