mplayerplug-in-3.40 and /tmp files

Hi folks and thanks for this handy plugin. 

Having a bit of an issue with it though and it happens using firefox or 
seamonkey and only when watching a video that uses mplayerplug-in.

If you go here http://www.tv-links.co.uk/show.do/1/87 and pick one. What 
happens is, the link plays fine but eventually stops. Poking around I find 
when one of those links is clicked on, a /tmp/some.file.name gets created and 
no matter what settings I have for mplayerplug-in cache sizes this temp file 
continues to grow until my /tmp is full. It's currently set by /etc/fstab to 
512M.

I cannot find how to tell mplayerplug-in to use a different location for this 
temp file. I have the mplayerplug-in.conf setting as; 
dload-dir=/home/dveatch/tmp. But that doesn't seem to do anything unless I 
want to save the file, which atm is not my concern.

So how do I tell mplayerplug-in to stop growing this tmp file size beyond the 
settings I have in it's conf? Or is this an issue with firefox/seamonkey? And 
for those two I have not found in about:config where to fiddle with tmp file 
placement.
