Movies get stuck and/or repeat frames

I am using MPlayer-plugin 3.40r1 and I have a problem playing some
movies, like Apple's trailers [1]. They either repeat some frames and
freeze after playing a few seconds (like one or two). Downloading the
movie and playing with mplayer (command-line) works fine, without any of
these problems. However, mplayer displays a lot of "Error while decoding
frame!" messages, as you will be able to see below.

Please let me know if you need any further information.

Thanks in advance,
Rodrigo
