Hi.

I'm new on mailing list and I have two issue to post.

I'm using mplayerplugin 3.40 on OpenSuse 10.2. and AntiX 6.5(Mepis
derived). Mplayer 1.0rc1. The video I want to view is: video/x-ms-wmv
(Microsoft WMV video) from www.repubblica.it (REPUBBLICA TV & Multimedia)

On all the two distribution I have found this issue:

1st issue) Proxy support not works correctly. I have enabled DEBUG=1 and I
have found the mplayer command line options mplayer is started. Es:

mplayer -nodr -wid 0x2a00ef9 -vf scale=420:-3 -vo xv,x11 -zoom -ao
arts, esd, oss -osdlevel 1 -nojoystick -noconsolecontrols -cookies -softvol
-slave -user-agent NSPlayer -cache 1024
http://mediaserver.kataweb.it/tgrep/reuters/aeroportorazzo.wmv?MSWMExt=.asf

If I use a proxy server (export http_proxy=http://10.1.0.251:8080) I have
to add the option "-playlist" and so the i can what the video ! :

mplayer -nodr -wid 0x2a00ef9 -vf scale=420:-3 -vo xv,x11 -zoom -ao
arts, esd, oss -osdlevel 1 -nojoystick -noconsolecontrols -cookies -softvol
-slave -user-agent NSPlayer -cache 1024 -playlist
http://mediaserver.kataweb.it/tgrep/reuters/aeroportorazzo.wmv?MSWMExt=.asf

Why ???

2nd issue) No problems with mplayerplug-in.conf:noembed=1 (no -wid .....
option at when starting mplayer) the video is all the time viewed
correctly (but in another window).
When I want to view the video in embeded mode (-wid option), mplayer crash
randomly ! Some times it's work, but the most times, it crashes with an
error like this:

READ: MPlayer interrupted by signal 8 in module: decode_video
-----
MPlayer interrupted by signal 8 in module: decode_video
- MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM.
Recompile MPlayer with --enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and
  disassembly. Details in
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports_what.html#bugreports_crash.
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't
and
won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible
bug.

Now I have download the source of mplayerplugin and I have compiled and
installed mplayerplugin from sources.
No changes ! Can You help me ?

Best Regards and I bag pardon for my poor English
