I'm tempted to ask why.  The whole point of MultiZilla is that it 
makes tabbed browsing more pleasant.

However, the answer to your question lies in two prefs windows:
Prefs -> Navigator -> Tabbed Browsing -> Open tabs instead of windows 
for -> Middle-click, ctrl-click or ctrl-enter on link in a web page 
(untick this option to open a new window on middle clicking)

and 

Prefs -> MultiZilla -> Links -> Open new tabs for -> [external link | 
external programs]

Play about with the prefs until you find a combination of settings 
that works

Yeah, HJ's done a lot of work on this.  The major thing now is to get 
them documented.  I really should be doing this, but I'm so busy with 
other things that I don't have the time.  Can someone help?
